The US is launching attacks in Syria and Iraq against Iran's allies

This Friday (2 January 2024), the US launched strikes in Syria and Iraq against bases of groups supported by Iran. The attack was part of the North American response to the attack that killed three of the country's soldiers and injured 25 others. . Information from The New York Times.

Biden blamed Iran for the move. “We are still gathering the facts of this attack, and we know it was carried out by Iranian-backed extremist groups operating in Syria and Iraq.”In an official statement.
