London, United Kingdom Thousands of people protested in London this Saturday (21/8) in support of the Afghan people, while tough evictions continued after the Taliban came to power in Kabul.
In the center of the British capital, the AFP reported that several thousand protesters in the rain carried posters with slogans such as “No to the Taliban” and “Peace in Afghanistan” and with Afghan flags. “Protect Afghan women” is another goal. According to BBC Public Radio Television, another protest took place in Glasgow, Scotland with 150 people.
The British government was severely criticized for arranging the expulsion of its citizens and Afghanistan from Afghanistan after the Taliban came to power. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday said his government would work hard to evict “as many people as possible”.
