Sony has managed to charm its gamer base with its new PS Plus proposal. According to the latest report by the Japanese company, more than 14 million subscribers have immigrated to the Extra and Premium – Deluxe plan in some countries where there is no influx, such as Brazil.
The good news doesn’t stop there. With the change in the offering of games in the catalog, gamers have already spent more than 1 billion hours on the service’s titles – which already exceeds 800. Check out more highlights below:
New PS Plus subscribers have invested more in the platform
Some interesting data about gamers has been brought by Sony:
- More than 800 games are available for the customer to choose from
- Over 1 billion hours of gameplay across Extra and Deluxe (Premium) titles
- Player retention remained flat through fiscal 2022
Higher tiers cover 30% of subscriptions
- average revenue earned per customer on new PS Plus increased by 11%;
- 30% of the player base is subscribed to Extra or Premium (premium) levels;
- 14.1 million customers preferred the highest levels in the first 10 months.
It is important to note that the current number of subscribers to the new PS Plus reached 47.4 million in March 2023. In short, a large part of the community still chooses the basic service offered by Sony to play online and access monthly games.
