British artist Sam Cox, better known as Mr. Doodle (or “Mister Drawing”, in the free translation), completed his greatest artwork: he covered his private home in Kent, in the English countryside, with cartoons inspired by every room.

At 28 years old, he was Mr. Doodle has been dreaming of designing his new home – which is worth about US$1.5 million or 7.9 million BRL – since childhood, he admitted on social media.

“I would like to thank my mum and dad because since they let me paint on my bedroom walls as a kid, I’ve wanted to live in a property completely covered in characters of my own making,” he joked on Instagram after announcing the property result.

For this project, he spent 900 liters of white paint, 401 cans of black spray paint, 286 bottles of black ink, and 2,296 black pens. It took two years to paint each of the entire six bedrooms, as well as seven other common areas such as the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms—none has been discovered, even the fireplace received paintings on the burners.

Cox doesn’t yet live in the residence, according to The Guardian, but he plans to move there soon with his wife, Alina Cox, and Ms. doodle. He even painted the car that he shares with his partner, who is also an artist and uses to color his creations.

According to the painter, there have been no complaints from the neighbors yet, but the previous owners – when they found out that he was the buyer – were begging him not to paint on the walls. Not only did the wish come true, but the master. Doodle went even further and gave new features to household appliances, which are now no longer working.

To BBC breakfast presenter Tim Muffett, Cox revealed that the first room he completed was his bedroom – and that getting up there would be “like staying in heaven for him”.
