The former army coach of Prince Harry said that parts of the biography of the Saudi monarch have been highlighted

The former army coach of Prince Harry said that parts of the biography of the Saudi monarch have been highlighted

Exaggerated? In the autobiography What Remains, Prince Harry recounted a dramatic moment when he was on an Army training flight and described the experience as suicidal. However, the Duke of Sussex’s coach, who was seated next to him on the flight, revealed in an interview with the Sunday Mirror that the story did not happen the way it was told in the work.

In the book, King writes that an instructor deliberately stopped his aircraft, propelled by a Slingsby T67 Firefly, without warning. Former Sergeant Michael Polley reports that all the details of the training flights were discussed in advance.

– I was shocked by this. Already in shock. While the book pays tribute to the memory of the raids, the lessons are inaccurate, I’m afraid. It is important to note that there is nothing surprising about the cockpit. Each sortie is carefully briefed in advance, every aspect. Sorting is performed exactly according to this summary. The only time there are surprises is later in the syllabus, not as in the book, when contingencies are introduced. Engine crashes are practiced before the first solo, obviously in case a student hits one.

He added that he questions certain parts of the work, of which John Joseph Moringer was a ghostwriter:

– I think the reference to sorties was dramatic. I think it is the result of ghost writing. I never called him Lieutenant Wells, he was an officer and I called him sir.

Michael still appreciates Harry and concludes with a compliment:

He was an exceptional student, very talented. He is a friend and a man whom I respect very much and who always has my ear.
