SEGA will plan annual Persona and Like a Dragon games

Rumors indicate that SEGA plans to work hard on its flagship franchises in the coming years. Presumably, the publisher intends to make Persona, Like a Dragon and Sonic annual, with releases including sequels, spin-offs, remakes, and new remakes.

The information was shared by a known leaker Midori. According to him, Persona should join the Like a Dragon and Sonic series as the “Big Three”, although it is not yet clear whether this will come to fruition in the future.

Right now, Sonic seems to be the most promising series in terms of new projects, while Like a Dragon has gained momentum by moving from real-time action to JRPG. Meanwhile, the character has been branching out for a few years and can seem exhausting.

Recently, SEGA and Atlus released the Persona 3 remake, just a few months after Persona 5 Tactica arrived. In previous years, the series moved into the Musou scene with Strikers, and there are currently rumors of a sixth main title.

It is worth noting that this information is just rumours. Therefore, we just have to wait for a more firm stance from the developers.
