From September 16 to 20, 2024, Pomerode (SC) will be the stage for an event that goes beyond academic and scholastic knowledge, by promoting the 9th edition of the Brazilian Science Fair (Febic). Known as a space for innovation and scientific experimentation, Febic brings together students and teachers from all over Brazil and Latin America, promoting integration between different regions and cultures. This edition, which will take place in the neighboring city of Pomerode, expects the participation of more than 350 participants, including students, teachers and writers. It can be said that the importance of this event lies in promoting a culture of knowledge. In an increasingly technological and interconnected world, and at the same time, skeptical of science, it is essential to train young people capable of questioning, creating and seeking solutions to contemporary challenges, where innovation dictates the direction of society. The Febic program serves as a platform to stimulate creativity and critical thinking, allowing innovative ideas to come to life in the form of projects and experiments. The interdisciplinary nature of the exhibition is another unique feature, allowing different fields of knowledge to talk to each other, promoting a broader and more interconnected view of science. Students of exact, biological, human and social sciences come together to exchange experiences and perspectives, fostering an understanding that knowledge should not be fragmented, but integrated to solve complex problems. The presence of books in the exhibition through the literary counter also reinforces the importance of disseminating and evaluating knowledge in various fields. Thus, the exhibition establishes itself as a democratic space for dialogue, experimentation and continuous learning. I hope that Vibeke will continue to flourish, shaping generations who understand science not just as a school subject, but as a way of thinking and transforming the world.
