To draw public attention to October Pink, the month of early detection and prevention of breast cancer, Miami (USA) police decided to close one of their naval vehicles by the work of Brazilian artist Romero Brito.

The vehicle was customized by MetroWaps with a painting by Romero Brito, who left his signature where the Ford logo is kept. “I am very honored. This is a great opportunity to do something for this community that has already done a lot for me,” the artist said.

By the end of October, police officers will be patrolling the streets of Florida’s largest metropolitan area in their pink cars and participating in events around the city. Police are encouraging people to take pictures near the SUV.

Goal

The eye-catching event aims to raise donations for the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation. “Because of the epidemic, people are losing jobs and their health plans, so we are getting more requests for help than at any other time,” explained Denise Mariani, the company’s director.

Based in the United States since 1988, the recipient-born artist is considered the founder of the “Happy Art” movement (happy art) and is highly regarded in the North American country.
