Real Madrid beat Inter by scoring great goals and advancing in first place in the Champions League – 07/12/2021

NS real Madrid Confirmed first place for Group D in Champions League This Tuesday (7) beat Inter Milan 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Toni Kroos and Marco Asensio scored the winning goals with superb shots from outside the area.

The result raised Real to 15 points, leaving Inter in second place with 10. Both teams have already entered the round of 16, but the Italians could steal first place in the event of a win in Spain. The eliminated Sheriff Tiraspol and Shakhtar Donetsk completed the arc.

Inter were more dangerous in the first half, creating chances, attacking a lot from both sides and upsetting the Meringue’s defence. But a wonderful move from Kroos opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Rodrygo hit the ball and the German who controlled it fired a left-leg shot without any chance to defend Handanovic.

The Italians followed well in the second stage, but Parilla lost his mind after a split with Militao and the Brazilian defender punched the leg out of a ball dispute. The VAR alerted the referee and the Inter midfielder was sent off, complicating any chance of Milan’s reaction.

To complicate matters for Inter, Asensio scored another superb goal just minutes after entering the field. The Spaniard received it at the end of the area, set it on his left leg and hit a perfect kick into the corner. Handanovic was not even on the ball.

Without Benzema’s injury, Vinicius Junior was once again the main striker for Real Madrid. The Brazilian put signs of hell on the left wing and came close to scoring with a shot that hit Skriniar’s defender and smashed the crossbar. Rodrygo, also a regular starter, was another player who did well, sending a ball across the crossbar.

The round of 16 of the European Champions League will be held in February 2022. The draw for the matches will be held next Monday (13).
