Neoenergia (NEOE3) released its first quarter 2023 results on Tuesday night the 25th.
The company reported net income of R$1.215 billion for the period, a slight increase of 0.25% compared to reported in Q122.
Total Ebitda was R$3.6 billion in Q1 2013, an increase of 14% compared to Q1 2022. Adjusted Ebitda totaled R$2.6 billion, up 7%.
Neoenergia sells a 50% stake in the transmitter for R$1.2 billion
Neoenergia also announced on Tuesday night the sale of its 50% stake in Neoenergia Transmissora 15 SPE to Warrington Investment for R$1.2 billion.
Warrington is an investment vehicle of Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC.
“The acquisition, together with the other operations mentioned above, will allow the company to continue growing in the transportation sector in Brazil, benefiting from having a leading global institutional investor as a partner,” Neoenergia said in a physical.
The acquisition is subject to the previous conditions, which include prior approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).
