Tocantins News – City Councillor of Palmirante, Vicente Lopez Coelho (PSD), The city council reported an alleged scheme in which city residents’ names were listed on a list of tests to be carried out without the procedures actually being carried out.
The parliamentarian stated that the list contained 180 names, and that each exam cost 800 reais to the municipality’s coffers, for a total of 144,000 reais. However, the council members presented three citizens whose names appeared on the list, but they strongly denied that they had carried out any of the aforementioned actions.
Due to suspected irregularities, the municipality’s health minister, Matheus Martins Luz, was called to provide explanations to the city council about what the council member described as an “ultrasound wave” during the session on Thursday (15), but he did not attend.
