The course is open to university students, primary and secondary school students.
The Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (ICMC) at the University of the South Pacific, in São Carlos, is open for registration in Python for Data Science CourseThe opportunity is free, in person, and targets university students and high school or elementary school students, from grade 9 and up, who are interested in programming.
The course, which is being promoted by the DATA Advisory Group, will be held over nine Mondays, from 4:20pm to 6pm, starting on August 26, at a location to be announced to registrants.
Throughout this course, participants will learn the basics of the Python language, with a particular focus on core libraries for data science, such as Pandas and Numpy. To follow the course, it is necessary to have a minimum knowledge of programming, including topics such as input and output, loops, functions, decision structures, data types and arrays.
