Enjoy! CAIXA launches renegotiation negotiations of up to 90% of debt; See how you participate

This week, Caixa Econômica Federal launched a debt renegotiation process.

In this way, the campaign called “Você no Azul” gets a discount of up to 90% for settling citizens’ debts.

According to the foundation’s president, Daniela Marquez, the project is aimed at “everyone who wants to get out of the red, pay off their debts and start over.”

Work must continue until December 29 throughout the national territory. In this sense, the corporation is expected to renegotiate a debt of R$1 billion.

Moreover, it is expected that about 4 million contracts will be signed with individuals and another 396 thousand contracts with legal entities.

According to a survey conducted by the foundation, the vast majority of citizens’ debts are less complex contracts. This, like spending on credit cards and overdrafts, for example.

A large part of the clients has debts with an average amount of 5 thousand Brazilian riyals. In this way, more than 80% will be able to pay off their debts with up to a thousand Brazilian reals. Discounts in value can be up to 90%.

How will debt renegotiation work?

The terms of joining the service will depend on the type of contract and also on the number of monthly payments in arrears.

Thus, according to Caixa, both contracts with legal entities and individuals may be executed. However, agricultural and housing finance contracts will not be possible.

The citizen’s name will also be withdrawn from the restrictive registration banks within a period of up to 5 days. Thus, the new campaign targets low-income residents, beneficiaries of the social programs of the Federal Government, such as Auxílio Brasil, women and micro-entrepreneurs.

In addition, for 2022, it will be possible to negotiate debts through the Caixa Tem application. In this sense, the Foundation informs that about 70% of contracts may take place on the digital channels of the entity, such as the official website of the campaign, WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook.

However, you also mentioned that other service channels are also available. Among them are call centers, lottery houses, physical branches of the bank as well as the mobile unit of the Você no Azul campaign, which will be in several locations.

According to Caixa, the program’s mobile unit will be located in the following locations:

  • Guarapari (ES) – from October 10 to 14;
  • Uberaba (MG) – from October 17 to 21;
  • Goianésia (GO) – from October 24 to November 1;
  • Vitória da Conquista (BA) – from October 24 to November 1;
  • Natal (RN) – from November 7 to 10;
  • Kaiko (RN) – from November 21-25;
  • Rondonópolis (MT) – from November 22 to 29;
  • Mossoro (RN) – November 28 – December 2;
  • Birigui (SP) – December 5 to December 9;
  • Tuba (SP) – from December 12 to 16;
  • Pirapora (MG) – from December 19 to 23;
  • Nova Venecia (Spain) – from December 26 to 30.

Debt renegotiation is the election agenda

Last Tuesday, October 4, there was the publication of a survey by the National Federation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC). According to the document, eight out of every ten Brazilian families are in debt.

In this sense, the study indicates that these families are unable to afford basic household expenses. This, for example, electricity, water and Internet bills, among others.

This procedure will be done through the support of public banks in partnership with private institutions, which will allow payment terms for debtor citizens.

The program got the name “Desenrola”, as it focuses on debt not related to banks, but rather on various services in general.

Overdue accounts represent R$289 billion

Currently, Brazil has more than 67 million people in default, according to data from Serrasa through August.

In addition, according to the entity, the amount of such debts already exceeds about 289 billion Brazilian reais. Of this total, 28% relate to credit card and bank debt.

Already 72% of debt refers to bills that are overdue for services in general, such as utility and phone bills.

Economist Guilherme Melo, Nucleus Coordinator for Public Policy Monitoring at the Perseu Abramo Foundation, worked on the development of the “Desenrola” program by presidential candidate Lula. Thus, it confirms that the scale focuses on the discharge of debts in general.

Initially, the proposal will have a measure for families with monthly earnings of up to three minimum wages, that is, the current 3,636 Brazilian reais. However, at a later time, the program will be expanded to include families with high incomes.

“We are talking about this non-bank debt, which is the majority, about 73% of the total volume. The plan is to establish credit bureaus in the country, which will be spaces of central information, because these debts are very dispersed, today you do not have this central data. Milo noted that these offices will be organized in partnership with the banks and also with the SPC (Credit Protection Service), Serasa, the central bank, to negotiate these debts.
