England and Germany delivered everything that was expected of the European Cup final. Intensity, speed, disposition and a lot of passion. With the support of the lively Wembley, the Lioness started better, was more aggressive, suggested a match and endangered the German defense. Eileen White, for example, squandered two big opening scoring opportunities. Germany, in turn, tried to put pressure on the host team, but without much organization.

But, with a nice shot from Walsh, Toone quickly advanced behind the defense and showed superior composure and quality to lighten the goalkeeper to open the scoring for England, in the 17th minute.
