The company first announced the project, also called the “Tesla Bot,” in August 2021, when it said the machine would be proposed to perform a range of services.
Musk claimed that eventually the machine would be able to do anything humans wouldn’t want to put into their hands.
The billionaire also claimed that the robot would “transform the world even more” than the company’s cars.
“As you see Optimus evolving, everyone will make sure it’s safe,” Musk said in the face of rumors about the dangers of artificial intelligence.
Earlier, the CEO of Tesla claimed that the company was designing the robot so that humans could outrun or beat it. The company has not yet released a working prototype of the robot.
