This Monday, Corinthians officially presented striker Angel Romero. The player received his first press conference as a Timão player upon his return. Paraguay has signed a bond until the end of 2024 with Timão.
Angel Romero was introduced to reporters in the press room at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, directed by Roberto de Andrade. The athlete is back donning the alfinegros cloak, still without a number on the back – the player has not yet chosen which number to use. 🇧🇷The truth is, I never left Corinth. I always accompanied the club when I was away and it was always something hanging that I had to go home, it’s always good to be home. That’s why my decision and my family’s decision too. We were very happy here, so it’s always nice to come back to where we were really happy,” said the player who opened the sequence of answers.
The player was announced in the last fifteen, after ending his relationship with Cruz Azul of Mexico. For Corinthians, Angel played 222 matches and scored 38 goals. He is the second highest scorer at Neo Química Arena, behind only Jô, who surpassed him in 2021.
Romero will be among those registered for the dispute in Paulistaów, which begins on January 15. Until then, he participates in the club’s pre-season with the rest of the squad.
