Bicyclists across Wisconsin log 1,000,000 bicycle miles in
Scott® Get Up & Ride Wisconsin Bike Challenge
Over 4,000 people across the state are participating in the Bike Fed’s Scott® Get Up & Ride Bike Challenge. Since the Challenge began on May 16, participants have logged a total of 1,000,000 bicycle miles. What does 1,000,000 bicycle miles mean for Wisconsin? It means healthier residents, money saved on expensive gas, and cleaner air for all of us to breathe. The Bike Challenge provides us with clear data on how bicycling can provide overwhelming benefits to our state and Wisconsin families.
 33,400,000 calories burned
 $250,000 saved on gas and car expenses
 513,000 pounds of C02 saved from being released into our atmosphere
Kevin Hardman, Executive Director of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin, believes that 1,000,000 miles is a big milestone for Wisconsin. “We are proud to be offering the Bike Challenge in partnership with Scott® brand.
