Community Business Bank “Denim Day” on Friday, March 13th benefits Habitat For Humanity Sauk Columbia Area

Community Business Bank (CBB), Sauk City and Lodi, and its staff are committed to charitable giving and staff volunteerism.  February 21, 2009 marked the 15th anniversary since the Bank first opened it doors on February 21, 1994.  To mark this anniversary year, CBB continues in its commitment to make 15 – $100 donations to local not-for-profits and civic organizations during 2009.

The recipient in March was Habitat For Humanity Sauk Columbia Area.  The organization seeks to make decent, affordable housing a reality for all.  Homes are built using volunteer labor and are sold at no profit.

Jerry Schaller, Vice President Loan Quality & Compliance and Terry Forman, Assistant Vice President Operations, CBB, present Tom Escher, President of Habitat for Humanity with their monetary donation.

In addition, Debra Lins, President & CEO, encouraged her staff to wear denim to work on Friday, March 13th, in exchange for a personal donation to Habitat For Humanity Sauk Columbia Area.  With this extra effort on behalf of the staff, the Bank donated over $200 to this worthy organization.

Community Business Bank, Sauk City and Lodi, is an independent, community-owned financial institution with over $66 million in assets.  It is the first community bank in Wisconsin to be chartered outside the metropolitan area and is led by one of the nation’s top women bankers.
