10th Anniversary Poster for the Lodi Valley Farmer's Market

Count down time for the Lodi Valley Farmers’ Market with year number 10 ready to start on April 23.

Think of it 10 years worth of markets!  Do the math . . . an average of 26 markets for 10 years means 260 market days.   Congratulations to the shoppers in Lodi Valley  for making the market a strong component of the community.

Some traditions established in the very beginning continue and become even more successful.  If you look around Lodi you will see the 10th anniversary edition of the Lodi Valley Farmers’ Market poster in many of the locations you shop.   Gary N-ski and Carmen Malzhan are the master minds who created the best poster yet.  This year features a “fireworks of flowers” to quote Gary.  Because we advertise handmade and homegrown, hand delivered is also part of our service. What fun to go into the stores last week to hear the “oohs and aahs” when folks got the first sighting. .  Thanks to the Lodi Enterprise for covering the cost of printing.  If you’d like to purchase your very own for a mere $5, stop at the Lodi Enterprise office

We hear the talk about the role of the arts as an important component in business, usually tossed in the last few minutes of a presentation.  I invite any business school professors to join me on the distribution run to hear the great enthusiasm and delight.  The poster is an integral part of the 10 years of success of the Lodi Valley Farmers’ Market.

At the market barn we will have a collection of all 10 posters for your viewing. People, plants, food and flowers have been featured over the years…and  last year one crazy leek name Larry.
