The greater Lodi area community will be launching an endowment fund for the betterment of the greater Lodi area community in April, 2010.

The endowment will be launched by a series of three open houses scheduled beginning Saturday, April 10th at the Women’s Club Library, 130 Lodi Street in Lodi, from 10 am until 11 pm.

“We are excited to be offering this fund as a vehicle to preserve and enhance our community’s assets and legacy,” states Bob Goeres, whom will be hosting the presentation to the community with Curt Hossman.

“The endowment provides the financial and legal framework to strengthen our community and facilitate local philanthropy,” adds Hossman.

The endowment fund is called LACE – for ‘Lodi Area Community Endowment’. The open house will feature a 20 minute presentation followed by time for questions and answers. Refreshments will be provided.

Hossman and Goeres will be joined by Bob Sorge of Madison Community Foundation for the open house. LACE was established by its founders as an Affiliate Fund of MCF to maximize earnings, secure principal, and minimize administrative costs.

The open house presentation will be repeated at the same location from 7 to 8 pm on Wednesday, April 14th and on Monday, April 19th. The public is encouraged to come.

For more information, feel free to call Bob Goeres at 592-4926, Curt Hossman at 592-4701, or Bob Sorge at 233-1763.  Additional information is also available at: www.madisoncommunityfoundation.org/LACE
