Gubernatorial and US Senate Candidate Forum on Friday, July 30 in Green Bay Features Mayor Tom Barrett, Mark Neumann, Dave Westlake, Ron Johnson and Senator Feingold

A broad coalition of senior, disability and human services organizations are collaborating on a statewide forum at which all three candidates for US Senate and two of the candidates for Governor will appear. All the candidates for Wisconsin Governor and US Senate were invited to appear.

The Candidate Forum on Aging and Disability Long Term Care will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 30 in Green Bay at the Green Bay Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, 2040 Airport Road. The forum is strictly non-partisan and is not part of any endorsement process. The day will end with a roundtable discussion featuring some of the State’s aging, disability and human services leaders.

Candidates are being given 35 minutes each to address the 500 people expected to attend the forum. The format features each candidate on stage individually, answering written questions that will likely cover topics including funding for services, the growing deficit in Medicaid and prospects for sustainable funding for long term care.

Mayor Tom Barrett will appear at 11:15 a.m. and Mr. Neumann at 1:20 p.m.  Mr. Westlake will appear at 2:45 p.m., Mr. Johnson at 3:25 p.m. and Senator Feingold at 4:05 p.m. Gubernatorial candidate County Executive Scott Walker is unable to attend.
