Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters urges you to support SB 190, which is before the full Senate on Tuesday.
Protecting our waters from runoff pollution from farms, neighborhoods, and construction sites is one of the largest challenges Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources faces. Adaptive management gives the DNR more ability to limit the cumulative impact of all pollution sources within a watershed. SB 190 will allow DNR to issue pollution discharge (WPDES) permits for a watershed rather than specific point sources. Taking this bigger picture approach will make implementation of adaptive management much easier and will aid Wisconsin in meeting water quality standards.
