| The summer of 2009 marks the 30th Anniversary of Vern’s Appliance Sales and Service in Lodi. Back in 1979, Vern and Dolly Paske opened their store in the lower level of the existing location of Vern’s Appliance. Back then, the only front-loading washer/dryers anyone had ever seen where located in laundromats and required loose change to operate. Today the new high efficiency versions are some of Vern’s hottest sellers! Vern’s carries the Whirlpool and Maytag brands which are the standards of excellence in the appliance industry and Vern’s Appliance quality service is known all over the Lodi Valley region. So, take top notch service and excellent products and it’s no wonder that Vern’s Appliance sales and Service has stood the test of time for 30 years. | |||

| Unique is how I describe the Downtown Coffee Grounds. Despite our name you don’t have to be a coffee drinker to enjoy the Coffee Grounds. Every inch has been utilized to bring to Lodi the best of what we do. We do plenty. John Gorton, the Lodi Coffee Roaster continues to roast and provide Lodi with the best coffee beans available. Judy Hackett the owner, offers her skills as a breakfast cook, cookie baker, barrista, gift basket maker and soon a dinner chef. Gene the other half of the team lends a hand baking the scones that Lodi has come to love as well as welcoming the town for coffee and treats every day. The Grounds also offers the best ice cream around. Who doesn’t love Chocolate Shoppe? You can spend the entire day at the Coffee Grounds. Start with a nice breakfast. Stay to play on line with our free internet connection. Lunch with a nice salad or sandwich. Afternoon treats with ice cream and or fresh baked cookies and brownies and finally Supper on Thurs., Fri., and Sat. Something for everyone. | |||
